I should be cleaning....

Last night, I should have been cleaning...

Front room- Disaster
Bathroom- Passable
Bedroom- Just plain awful
Kitchen- Complete NIGHTMARE!

well, I started in the kitchen (because I hate it the most..) and well, I guess I accomplished something ...

now, in order for this to be truly amazing, you have to understand, my kitchen is about 2 feet by 2 feet. I am not kidding. these dishes take up the whole darn space!

After my intese laboring over the dishes I needed to take a break. obviously. I cruised around on the internet for a while until I found something amazing. A recipe for Monkey bread! oh how I love monkey bread.. all the ooey gooey goodness! I had missed it so.

Naturally after working off some calories I needed to replace them as quickly as humanly possible! so, I went to work!

Notice that I am working at my sink and on my filthy stove... yep. I could not be bothered to put the clean dishes away (that will be a mountain to conquer today..). well there it is.. the beautiful ten million thousand calories that keep my buttocks looking large and in charge!

Today maybe I will get a gym membership....

and clean.

A recent study found that creating a blog and updating it regularly increases life expectancy by approximately ten seconds. Immediately after discovering this information, Kayla and I have decided to start this blog, chronicling our rise TO POWER. So here we are on a Sunday evening, gobbling left over pie and pondering the great questions of life: "What does the future hold for us?", "How can we create a strong family?", and "Hey! Is your slice of pie bigger than mine?".

Normally this is where people might give a short explanation of themselves, their life, and a cute little introduction to their blog. Instead we are just going to dive right in.

Yesterday we attended the second semi-annual Soup Excitement at the Thurman Residence.

Highlights:

Making the most terrible bean soup- I hand crafted this bean soup, using only the best ingredients, and then simmering it for a day and a half... unfortunately, it was disgusting. The beans were hard, and the rest was mushy, and too salty.

Making the best pie ever- Kayla hand crafted this delicious pie, a Ginger Snap crust with layered, made from scratch, chocolate and vanilla custard. Topped off with whipped cream and shaved chocolate "Hey! There's pie?"

The Game of Things- Another hilarious round of the game of things, one of our favorites. Hitler, Kitty litter... to be fair I wouldn't want either in my sandwich...

There's no denying that the Thurmans host one heck of a party.

Now for our Weekly Wonders of the 19th Ward:

"Good morning Sisters, Dear Heavenly Father..." -Anonymous

"That's wobbly like a duck!" -Sister Peacock

"...Don't even think about trying to escape...the pit of despair" -Albino

"On my mission..."

After church, I got my first  tattoo, and Kayla became a tattoo artist!

And last but not least, a little known fact: In ancient greece, it was common to make sacrifices of old leggings in order to prevent the wrath of Capillus who's anger, they believed, was the cause of bad hair days.
